Welcome to the Retired and
Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Volunteer Frederick’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program
(RSVP) is part of a network of national service programs that
provides Americans 55 and older the opportunity to apply their
life experiences in meeting community needs. RSVP volunteers
serve in various non-profit and government agencies throughout
Frederick County. RSVP specializes in tapping the skills and
experience of adults age 55 and older who are nearing
retirement, recent retirees or long term retirees by matching
their talents and interests with the critical needs of local
non-profit and government agencies and groups. You can work as
much or as little as your schedule permits, and we have
opportunities for all types of volunteers.
We’d like to save you time in identifying the best volunteer
match for your unique skills, talents, interests, and help
determine what you want from a volunteer experience. We consider
your preferences, availability, timetable, location and personal
requirements. Then, match your talents and interest with a
volunteer assignment you will enjoy at a time that’s best suited
to your schedule. We offer this personal consultation and
placement by phone, e-mail, or in person at our office. Upon
request, we can even come to you.
We also work with local agencies in the
greater Frederick, Maryland area to locate and refer quality
volunteers for a variety of short or long term volunteer
positions.
Research shows that people who volunteer live longer,
happier, and healthier lives - begin your volunteer experience
